Michael D. Wardle joined Brighton as Director of Planning in June of 2007, providing in-house expertise for the Company’s on-going projects and forward planning for Brighton’s communities of the future.  From 1993 through 2003, he was associated with Brighton as a consultant, planning and entitling its projects from Hobble Creek and Boise Research Center, to Ashford Greens,Heritage Commons and Paramount. Michael initiated the Harris Ranch project in late 1996 and facilitated Brighton’s role as developer of Boise’s premier planned community in 1998.  He is responsible for maintaining current project entitlements, dealing with agencies, and navigating the approvals process for Brighton’s growing communities, including Harris Ranch, River Heights and Barber Station in the Barber Valley; and Paramount and Bainbridge in Meridian. In addition to a number of recognizable communities throughout the Treasure Valley, his distinguished career includes site planning for the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympics Winter Sports Park in Park City, Utah, and Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area, near Newport, Oregon.

In 2007, Lars joined Brighton Corporation to develop and implement new strategies in residential development and product design to address the evolving marketplace. Specifically, his duties with Brighton Homes include market research and analysis, product development and prototyping, and Sales and Marketing. His measured approach and unique understanding of the residential markets have led to continued success in challenging times. As Brighton Corporation moves into the future, Lars will be instrumental to the quality of future developments as an integrated land planning and product development approach is pursued by Brighton Corporation.

Lars resides in Meridian with his wife, April, their son Zachary, their daughter Skylar, and two Italian greyhounds. He has a wide range of interests including golf, travel and history.
